Thomas Partey Faces New Rape Charges in UK Court

Thomas Partey, a 32-year-old midfielder currently with Villarreal, is facing two new rape charges related to a new victim, according to reports. This development follows his earlier not guilty plea to five counts of rape involving two women and one count of sexual assault.

The latest allegations involve incidents that reportedly occurred in 2020 and are linked to a fresh inquiry by the Metropolitan Police. Partey is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on March 13, 2026, for an initial hearing regarding these new charges.

He had previously been granted conditional bail by Southwark Crown Court after denying earlier accusations stemming from incidents in 2021 and 2022, during his time at Arsenal. The police began investigating the matter in February 2022 after receiving a rape complaint.

Partey, who joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in October 2020 for £45.3 million, continues his career in Spain with Villarreal on a one-year agreement.
