Thomas Partey Faces New Rape Charges in Legal Battle

Thomas Partey, a 32-year-old midfielder, has been charged with two additional counts of rape by the UK Crown Prosecution Service, extending his legal battle. These new charges relate to allegations from 2020, following a fresh investigation by the Metropolitan Police.

Partey is already facing five counts of rape involving two women and one count of sexual assault related to a third woman, with incidents occurring between 2021 and 2022. He pleaded not guilty to these charges at Southwark Crown Court in September 2025.

His trial is scheduled to commence on November 2, 2026. Currently, Partey is under bail conditions that allow him to continue his life and career but impose restrictions, including reporting travel and non-contact with the alleged victims.

Partey’s lawyer has stated that he denies all charges and is fully cooperating with the investigation, emphasizing that he considers himself innocent until proven otherwise by the court.
