HMRC Files Bankruptcy Petition Against Jamie Carragher

The petition was initiated due to Carragher's alleged unpaid tax debt, with HMRC's primary intention being to recover the owed money.

This court appearance provided the first confirmation that the bankruptcy petition had been lodged. HMRC described the bankruptcy petition process as a “last resort” for reclaiming tax or other outstanding payments.
