Kano Political Realignment Ahead 2027

A political group loyal to former Kano State Deputy Governor Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna is preparing to defect from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to the All Progressives Congress (APC). This was revealed during a solidarity visit to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Dr. Nasiru Gawuna, the NDC's senatorial candidate and former Deputy Governor of Kano State, is reportedly set to defect to the APC. This move, confirmed by APC chieftain Bashir Ahmad, could significantly weaken the NDC's influence in Kano.
