Hoodlums Attack NDC Meeting in Owerri, Destroy Chairs

On Wednesday, hoodlums stormed a meeting of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) held at Umuoyima Hall in the Owerri Municipal Council, Imo State. During the attack, they allegedly beat up participants and destroyed approximately 700 chairs.

The reason for the assault was not known at the time of reporting. Eyewitnesses indicated that the attackers, armed with guns, axes, and machetes, disrupted the peaceful gathering, which was attended by NDC candidates from the Owerri zone, including Hon.

Uch Onyeagocha, who is a candidate for the House of Representatives in the Imo House of Assembly. The assailants also confiscated phones from attendees during the incident.
