Housing Ministry Honors Retiring Finance Director Osondu

The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development organized a send-off ceremony to honor Osondu Okoro Peter, who retired as the Director of Finance and Accounts upon reaching the age of 60 after 26 years of dedicated service to the nation. Permanent Secretary Dr.

Shuaib Belgore described Mr. Osondu as an outstanding administrator and financial expert whose contributions to the ministry and civil service are invaluable.

Dr. Belgore noted Osondu's approachable and versatile nature, his support for colleagues, and his promotion of teamwork within the ministry.

The ceremony featured tributes from colleagues, emphasizing Osondu's exemplary conduct and camaraderie throughout his service. The event also included a formal handover to Mr.

Ikechukwu Nweke, who will succeed Osondu. Dr.

Shamseldeen Babatunde Ogunjim acknowledged Osondu's hard work and commitment, stating that his guidance was crucial during his tenure. The ceremony marked the end of a significant career in public service.
