Dangiwa Hands Over as Minister for Housing, Remains Optimistic

On Thursday, Ahm Musa Dangiwa formally handed over his leadership role as the Minister for Housing and Urban Development. This transition follows a minor cabinet reshuffle approved by President Bola Tinubu, who immediately nominated a new ministerial candidate for the ministry.

Dangiwa, during the handover in Abuja, expressed confidence that his exit would not halt the ongoing reforms in Nigeria's housing sector. He described his time in office as a privilege and thanked President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve at such a significant level.

Dangiwa acknowledged the support he received from stakeholders across the housing ecosystem and noted that collaboration was key to the central reform initiatives during his tenure. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, the new Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, commended Dangiwa for his professional mentorship and emphasized the impact of his tenure on advancing the government's goal of providing affordable housing and strengthening the sector's institutional framework.
