Abacha Died of Cardiac Arrest During Intercourse, Claims DSS

Denni Amachree, a former Assistant Director of Operations at the Department of State Services (DSS), revealed in his newly released book, "DSS: 40 Journeys Behind the Shield," that Sani Abacha, Nigeria's late head of state, died of cardiac arrest during sexual intercourse on June 8, 1998. The incident occurred at the presidential villa in Abuja around 4:05 AM with a female pharmacist, who was reportedly accompanied by her elder sister.

Amachree recounts that Abacha's girlfriend had just bought a new SUV and stopped to greet him before leaving the pharmacist alone. After Abacha became unresponsive, the pharmacist checked his pulse and found none, prompting her to dress quickly and inform the soldiers on duty.

The DSS was alerted, and the pharmacist was flown back to Abuja for interrogation. Amachree's account aims to dispel conspiracy theories surrounding Abacha's death, including claims of poisoning.
