Al-Mustapha Disputes Amachree on Abacha's Death Cause

Al-Mustapha, speaking at the 3rd General Hassan Usman Katsina Memorial Conference in Kaduna, countered former Assistant Director of the Department of State Services (DSS) Dennis Amachree's assertion that General Sani Abacha died of a heart attack. Amachree, in his book ‘DSS @ 40: My Journey Behind the Shield’, claimed evidence indicated a heart attack, dismissing other theories as speculative.

Al-Mustapha insisted he possesses evidence, including CCTV footage, that contradicts Amachree's claims, suggesting the former DSS official was influenced to publish falsehoods. He urged the public to disregard Amachree's statements, labeling them as lies.

Additionally, Al-Mustapha criticized the leadership in Northern Nigeria, describing the region as "directionless" and "totally hopeless," attributing this to poor leadership and a lack of vision among political elites. He expressed disappointment over the absence of many Northern governors at the conference, emphasizing the need for their presence and commitment to the region's future.
