Delta Varsity Student Kills Brother Over Slippers

On June 17, 2026, Fejiro, a 21-year-old student in the 200 level at Delta State University, allegedly killed his 19-year-old younger brother, Joseph, a 100 level student, during a violent confrontation over bathroom slippers. The incident occurred in Delta State, where the siblings engaged in a disagreement that escalated into a fatal altercation.

Neighbors attempted to separate the brothers, but the conflict continued behind the house. During the fight, Fejiro reportedly took a kitchen knife and stabbed Joseph multiple times before fleeing the scene.

Bright Edaf, a spokesperson for the Delta State Police Command, confirmed the incident and stated that the suspect remains at large and is expected to face murder charges upon arrest. The family expressed devastation over the loss, lamenting the tragic circumstances that led to the death of one child at the hands of another.
