Peter Akpe Attributes Deputy Governor Role to Divine Favor

Peter Akpe, who recently became the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, shared insights into his appointment, stating that it was not the result of lobbying or political pressure but rather a matter of divine favor. During a reception held at the Government House in Yenagoa, Akpe clarified that he did not seek any campaign influence for his position following the death of his predecessor.

He expressed his commitment to serving the people of Bayelsa State and emphasized that his journey has been guided by God. Akpe acknowledged the support he received from the state governor and members of the state house assembly, expressing gratitude for their confidence in him.

He reassured that his focus will be on the betterment of Bayelsa State, highlighting that he has never engaged in lobbying for political positions throughout his life.
