Sunday Igboho Reveals Escape from DSS Raid in 2021

Sunday Adeyemo, known as Sunday Igboho, detailed his escape from operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) during a raid on his residence in Ibadan, Oyo State, on July 1, 2021. He stated that the operatives surrounded his home around 1:30 AM but failed to arrest him.

Igboho claimed they mistook a cat for him and even brought a "fake herbalist" to perform rituals in an attempt to capture him. He described the chaos during the raid, including gunfire and the forced entry into his home.

Despite being inside, he managed to evade capture. He also mentioned that a partially blind brother was shot by the operatives, who took the corpses away as evidence of their invasion.

Igboho attributed his survival to divine intervention following prayers from Muslim clerics at his residence, which he believed helped avert a bad outcome. The raid followed months of tension between him and the Federal Government under former President Muhammadu Buhari.
