Businesswoman Accuses Minister Umahi of Harassment

Traci Nicola Ohiri, a Nigerian businesswoman, has publicly accused David Umahi, the Minister of Works, of sexual harassment and unlawful detention. Ohiri alleges that Umahi refused to pay her for services provided over a 12-year period and that he attempted to coerce her into a sexual relationship by appearing in a towel.

She claims that after rejecting his advances, she was unlawfully detained by police officers deployed by Umahi. Ohiri brought her case to a magistrate court in Wuse 6, Abuja, expressing visible distress.

She alleges that police officers harassed and intimidated her, and that she has been waiting for payment for her services for eight months. Ohiri claims to have met Umahi when he was the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State and has been involved in business dealings with him since.

She has taken to social media to demand payment and has expressed her frustration over the situation, stating that she has been oppressed and that women in Nigeria face similar injustices.
