Adesanya Determined to Fight On Despite Losing Streak

Israel Adesanya, the UFC middleweight champion, has declared his intent to continue competing in the sport despite facing a four-fight losing streak. Speaking on Demetrious Johnson's "Mighty Cast" podcast, Adesanya stated that he does not want his current run of defeats to define the final chapter of his career.

His recent losses include a defeat to Joe Pyfer at UFC Fight Night 271 in Seattle on March 5, where he was stopped via technical knockout in the second round. Adesanya, 36, remains defiant, stating, "I don’t want to write the story of my career with losses." He acknowledged that his ego is a significant motivating factor and rejected the notion that he needs to protect his legacy by winning.

Adesanya is determined to keep fighting, saying, "I will keep going again, again, again." He entered the bout against Pyfer with a record of 24 wins and 5 losses, but he is resolute in his desire to continue competing.
