Itauma Doubts Fight with Usyk Will Happen Soon

Itauma, a 21-year-old boxer with a perfect record of 14-0, including 12 knockouts, commented on the possibility of fighting Oleksandr Usyk, the unbeaten 39-year-old Ukrainian and undisputed world champion in both heavyweight and cruiserweight categories. Itauma stated, "I don’t think it will happen," emphasizing that there is "no reason" for Usyk to fight him at this time.

Itauma is currently ranked third by the WBC and fifth by the IBF, and he is preparing for his first world title shot against newly crowned WBA champion Daniel Dubois. Itauma's promoter, Frank Warren, confirmed that there is a rematch clause in the contract for the upcoming fight.

Itauma's next bout is scheduled for August 8 in London, where he will be ringside to watch the WBO world title clash between compatriot Fabio Wardley and Dubois.
