Dana White Says Kamaru Usman's Career Not Over Yet

UFC CEO Dana White expressed that Kamaru Usman's career is not finished following his defeat to Dricus du Plessis in Oklahoma City on Sunday morning. Usman, a former welterweight champion, faced a challenging five-round match where he sustained serious damage from du Plessis, being wobbled multiple times yet managing to stay conscious throughout the fight.

The judges scored the bout 50-45, 49-46, and 49-46 in favor of du Plessis. White mentioned that he does not believe Usman is done and suggested that he should take time to rest and heal before considering his next steps.

Usman had previously taken nearly two years off and lost a last-minute fight to Khamzat Chimaev. The fight against du Plessis was particularly tough, raising questions about Usman's future in the middleweight division, especially given the size difference and his recent inactivity.
