Obasanjo's Daughter Prefers APC Over PDP and ADC, Returns to Active Politics After 15 Years

Iyabo Obasanjo, daughter of former Nigerian President Obasanjo, revealed her preference for the APC over the PDP and ADC in a recent interview with Nigerian sports legend Segun Odegbami on 103.7FM Eagle Sport. Despite leaving active politics 15 years ago due to pressure, she confirmed her membership in the APC, citing comfort with the political actors in the party.

Iyabo had previously served as the Ogun State Commissioner for Health but did not return to the PDP or ADC. She notably lost a re-election bid for the Senate in 2011 to Gbenga Obadara of the ACN.

Following her political setback, she pursued an academic career in the United States, eventually rising to the rank of professor.
