Emeka Ike Voices Safety Concerns Over INEC Data Leak

Emeka Ike, a Nollywood actor and politician, publicly expressed feeling unsafe for the first time due to a data leak involving the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). In a video shared on Thursday, he described the incident as an abuse of power that raises concerns about citizen safety and data protection in Nigeria.

Ike confirmed that he is initiating legal proceedings against Lere Olayinka, a media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, among others. He stated that his legal team has already submitted formal complaints to the relevant parties, including INEC, the Department of State Services (DSS), and the police.

Ike emphasized the seriousness of the situation, indicating that he feels no one is safe in the country anymore and that the incident reflects a reckless abuse of authority.
