Man Confesses to N500,000 Acid Attack on Spa Worker

Ziaulihak Zakari, a 37-year-old man, allegedly confessed to receiving N500,000 to carry out an acid attack on Olorunseunfunmi Awosogbon, a female spa worker, in the Lakow area of Lagos State. The incident occurred on October 25, 2025, when Awosogbon was attacked after scheduling a home service appointment.

Reports indicate that she was not the intended target; the attack was linked to a dispute involving Zakari's former relationship with another individual, Ifeoluwa. Zakari was arrested on March 19, 2026, and admitted to mistakenly assaulting the wrong person.

He had hired security guard Owolabi Daniel to carry out the attack, paying him N500,000 for the job, of which Daniel received N50,000. Zakari faces charges including conspiracy, threats to life, and unlawful wounding under the Lagos State Criminal Law of 2015.
