Waje Opens Up About Body Insecurities and Music Journey

Waje, a Nigerian singer whose full name is Aituaj Vivian Ebel Iruob, opened up about her past insecurities regarding her body during an episode of the "Next Chapter" podcast hosted by Tope Olowoniyan. At 44 years old, she disclosed that she used to wear multiple bras due to her insecurities about her physique, particularly at the age of 20.

Waje explained that becoming a mother changed her perspective on body image, and she credited friends, including rapper Kaffi, for helping her build self-confidence and develop a thick skin against negative comments. Additionally, Waje revealed during her appearance on the "HonestBunch" podcast with Daddi Freez that she did not receive payment for her contributions to P-Square's 2007 hit song, despite being a key vocalist.

She recalled how she initially gained public attention with a nationwide hit but was unable to appear in the music video due to not having a passport at the time. Waje's journey reflects her evolution in the music industry and her personal growth.
