Akor Adams Joins Venezia as Club's Record Signing

Akor Adams has completed a permanent transfer to Venezia from Sevilla, signing a contract that runs until June 2030. The transfer fee of €17 million plus bonuses makes him the most expensive signing in Venezia's history.

Adams, 26, expressed his desire to contribute to the club's ambitious long-term vision, stating, "I want to contribute to writing a new chapter in its history." Venezia's head coach, Giovanni Stroppa, welcomed Adams as an important addition to the team, emphasizing the need to strengthen the defense as well. Adams began his European career with Sogndal in Norway, later moving to Lillestrom and then Montpellier, before joining Sevilla in January 2025.

He finished as Sevilla's leading league scorer with 10 goals in 37 appearances, helping the club avoid relegation. Adams has also represented Nigeria at the U-20 level and scored six goals for the Super Eagles, earning a bronze medal at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
