Venezia Signs Akor Adams for Record €17 Million Transfer

Venezia has completed the signing of Nigerian striker Akor Adams, marking him as the most expensive acquisition in the club's history. The transfer fee is €17 million plus bonuses, and Adams will earn €1.5 million per season under a four-year contract.

Head coach Giovanni Stroppa expressed satisfaction with the signing, noting that Adams is an important addition to the team. He indicated that the club's focus will now shift to strengthening the defense.

Adams, who hails from Benue State, began his European career with Sogndal in Norway before moving to Lillestrøm, and then to Montpellier. Sevilla signed him in January 2025, where he became a key player, finishing as the club's leading scorer with 10 goals during a crucial relegation battle.

Adams is now expected to lead Venezia's attack as they prepare for the new Serie A season, aiming to maintain their top-flight status.
