APC Aspirant Hassan Liman Accepts Defeat, Urges Peace

Hassan Liman, a senior advocate in Nigeria, accepted defeat in the APC governorship primary election held in Nasarawa State, where he received 863 votes, while Ahm Wadada secured 1,285 votes and Mohammed Adamu received 39,675 votes among other participants. Speaking to journalists on Saturday in Lafia, Liman cautioned his supporters against engaging in any acts that could disrupt the peace in the state during the electoral process.

He acknowledged that while he was not satisfied with the outcome, he urged party members to seek redress through appropriate channels and to support the elected flag bearer, Ahm Wadada, for the upcoming 2027 general elections. Liman emphasized that peace is the foundation of society and called on the citizens of Nasarawa State, particularly APC members, to conduct themselves peacefully and ensure that the party adheres to due process in all activities leading up to the elections.
