Kwankwaso Refuses to Forgive Governor Yusuf for Betrayal

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former Governor of Kano State and vice-presidential candidate for the National Democratic Party (NDC), publicly declared that he will not forgive current Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for what he termed a betrayal. In a viral video, Kwankwaso addressed his party supporters during a courtesy visit in Kano, emphasizing that while he could forgive past grievances or future wrongs, he finds it particularly difficult to forgive those he personally assisted in achieving political roles who subsequently betrayed his trust.

He specifically mentioned that some individuals he helped, including advisers, commissioners, ambassadors, and even a governor, chose to support another candidate, Omologo, instead of him, despite being on the ballot. Kwankwaso characterized these actions as a serious breach of trust that he cannot easily forget or forgive, highlighting the emotional weight of political loyalty and betrayal in his statements.
