Kwankwaso Declares Ganduje, Yusuf Finished Politically

Rabiu Kwankwaso, during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Abuja, reflected on the political decline of former associates Abdullahi Ganduje and Abba Yusuf. He asserted that political success built on treachery is unsustainable, emphasizing that those who betray their allies often face political oblivion.

Kwankwaso specifically mentioned Ganduje, who served as his deputy for eight years and succeeded him as governor in 2015, noting that Ganduje's political fortunes have dwindled since their fallout. He stated that Ganduje's problems began when he started fighting against their established political structure.

Kwankwaso also criticized Abba Yusuf for allegedly abandoning the political group that supported his election as governor. He expressed disappointment that Yusuf, who was chosen to avoid repeating Ganduje's mistakes, has distanced himself from Kwankwaso's camp while facing challenges in his political identity.

Kwankwaso accused Yusuf of attempting to overshadow him politically despite his ongoing influence in Kano.
