Ibadan 4.0 Conference Calls for Jobs and Infrastructure Upgrades

The Ibadan 4.0 conference, organized by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII), focused on urgent interventions needed for job creation and infrastructure upgrades in Ibadan, Oyo State. The event, held at Bode Amao Hall, honored Oba Rasidi Ladoja and featured discussions led by Dr.

Adesola Adeduntan, Pro-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan. Adeduntan stressed the necessity of a coordinated action plan to prevent stagnation and ensure sustainable growth.

Guest speaker Prof. Abiodun Aibinu from Summit University Offa highlighted the need for a knowledge-driven economy and urban renewal.

He warned that failure to address unemployment and infrastructure decline poses significant threats to the city's growth. The conference also called for stronger grassroots governance and integration of traditional structures into formal governance.

The event concluded with awards recognizing individuals for their contributions to the development of Ibadanland.
