Oyo Governor Makinde Appoints Legal Team to Defend PDP in Tribunal Case

Oyo Governor Seyi Makinde has selected a team of legal professionals led by Tunji Ogunrind SAN to represent the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a tribunal case concerning the election results for the Ibadan North Federal Constituency. The case was initiated by the Social Democratic Party (SDP) challenging the victory of Hon.

Sundai Oyekunl Folajimi. The SDP is seeking the cancellation of the election and a fresh supplementary election due to alleged non-compliance with the Electoral Act.

The tribunal is set to resume hearings on March 16, 2025.
