Ibom Air Launches First Uyo-Accra International Flight

Ibom Air commenced its maiden scheduled international flight from Victor Attah International Airport in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, to Kotoka International Airport in Accra, Ghana. This development is seen as a significant milestone in the airline's growth, positioning the airport as a bona fide international gateway for Nigeria.

Mr. George Uriesi, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ibom Air, expressed delight in the commencement of international operations, emphasizing the successful facilitation of seamless passenger transit between Abuja and Accra via Uyo.

He highlighted that the new terminal represents a world-class airport experience, providing modern facilities that give passengers a sense of dignity and respect. Uriesi credited the visionary leadership of Governor Umo Eno and the unwavering support for the aviation ecosystem in Akwa Ibom State, which made this level of service possible for passengers.

He urged the airline to replicate its excellent service on domestic routes.
