Gbajabiamila Interrogated by ICPC Over PFIPC Scandal

Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, was interrogated by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) concerning his alleged role in the controversial Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC). Jiti Oguny, an aide to the President, appeared at the ICPC headquarters on Monday, July 20, 2026, to provide testimony related to the ongoing investigation into the PFIPC scandal, which includes allegations of a non-existent agency.

President Tinubu directed the ICPC to conduct a thorough investigation and submit a comprehensive report within 30 days. The controversy includes claims that Gbajabiamila received N400 million in proxy demands and an additional N200 million for security appointments.

Adeniyi Adeyemi, accused of operating the fake agency, was arrested following a court order but failed to honor the court's summons. The PFIPC was declared non-operational by the current administration, distancing itself from any allegations of misconduct.
