NDC Demands Gbajabiamila's Removal Over Corruption Claims

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has called for the immediate removal of Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, due to alleged links to a corrupt scandal involving a purported non-existent government agency, the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). Allegations include financial malfeasance, with claims that Gbajabiamila facilitated the payment of N600 million, with N400 million reportedly paid to intermediaries and an outstanding balance of N200 million.

The NDC has raised serious concerns regarding the agency's budgetary allocations for the 2026 budget and questioned the approval of 314 staff positions by the head of the civil service. They demand a transparent investigation into these claims, urging President Tinubu to suspend Gbajabiamila and establish an independent panel to examine the allegations, including the agency's financial transactions and staff approvals.

The NDC insists that anyone found culpable should face prosecution according to the law.
