El-Rufai's Arraignment Delayed by ICPC Investigation

The arraignment of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, which was scheduled for Wednesday at the Federal High Court in Abuja before Justice Joyc Abdulmalik, was stalled due to his absence. The lawyer representing the Department of State Services (DSS), Oluwol Aladedoy, informed the court that discussions had taken place with counsel for El-Rufai regarding the case.

Although the matter was set for the defendant to enter a plea, the absence of El-Rufai led to the postponement. Oluwol Iyamu, another lawyer, confirmed Aladedoy's submission and raised issues concerning bail for his client.

Justice Abdulmalik subsequently fixed a new date for El-Rufai's arraignment on February 25.
