Governor Idris Condoles Yauri Community After Boat Tragedy

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State extended his condolences to the Yauri local government area after a tragic boat accident claimed the lives of 14 individuals, including 13 women and children. The incident occurred in Gumbi Village, Yauri LGA, when a boat carrying approximately 100 people capsized while transporting a group to the groom's house in Gwarzo Village, Ngaski LGA.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Governor Idris, who was returning home at the time, expressed deep sorrow over the loss. He urged the families affected to accept God's will and emphasized that nothing happens without the knowledge of the Creator.

The governor called for increased safety measures to prevent future tragedies and prayed for the souls of the deceased to rest in peace, appealing to Allah to grant them Jannatul Firdau. The community is currently in mourning following this devastating incident.
