Idris Praises Peaceful APC Congress in Kebbi State

Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris commended the peaceful and rancor-free conduct of the APC congress held on Tuesday at FIFA Stadium Goru, near Birnin Kebbi. The congress, which drew hundreds of delegates from the 21 local government areas of the state, was described by Idris as a historic milestone reaffirming unity and internal cohesion within the party.

He noted that the seamless transition from ward to local government congresses reflected discipline and maturity among party members, despite the challenges of Ramadan fasting and heat. Governor Idris thanked party elders and stakeholders for sustaining harmony within the APC and pledged to consolidate the foundation laid by past leaders to ensure enduring stability.

Former Kebbi State Governor Atiku Bagudu highlighted the congress as a testament to Idris's inclusive leadership style. The event was supervised by the Independent National Electoral Commission's Abubakar Dambo, who expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the congress, which resulted in the re-election of Alhaji Abubakar Kana Zuru as state APC chairman alongside 29 other officials.
