IG Disu Commits to Reclaiming Kwara from Bandits

During his first official visit to Kwara State, Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu vowed to reclaim communities from bandits and criminal elements. Speaking in Ilorin, he assured residents that security operations would be intensified to restore peace and safeguard lives and property.

Disu emphasized the importance of community support for security agencies, stating that cooperation is vital to tackle insecurity. He cautioned against ethnic profiling, acknowledging the role of the Fulani community in previous operations.

Disu also pledged continued support from the police hierarchy to expose criminal hideouts and maintain peace. Kwara State Commissioner of Police Adeki Ojo expressed gratitude for Disu's visit, which aims to strengthen police morale and reinforce ongoing security operations.

Additionally, businessman Araba Sanni called for the development of Nigeria's subnational economies and the establishment of state police to enhance security and attract investment.
