IGP Promises to Reclaim Kwara Communities from Bandits

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) made a declaration during his visit to Kwara State, stating that efforts would be intensified to reclaim communities from bandits. He met with security officials and community leaders to review the ongoing operations against banditry.

The IGP noted that he was already familiar with the security situation in the state, having previously led police personnel in operations to flush out bandits from forest hideouts. He commended the residents for their support and urged them to continue cooperating with security agencies to defeat criminal elements.

The IGP expressed gratitude to the state governor for the support provided to the police, highlighting various forms of assistance that strengthen police operations. He also mentioned that Kwara was chosen as the first state to visit after assuming office, emphasizing the importance of addressing security challenges in the region.

The Commissioner of Police, Adeki Ojo, described the IGP's visit as a major morale booster for the state command.
