Igboho Defends Tinubu Support Against Sowore's Critique

Sunday Igboho, a prominent Yoruba nation agitator, has responded to Omoyele Sowore's comments regarding his political stance, which Sowore labeled as "amala politics," suggesting opportunism. Igboho dismissed Sowore's remarks as misleading and inconsequential, asserting that his support for Bola Tinubu's potential 2027 presidential re-election bid is a legitimate political choice aimed at improving security for the Yoruba people.

He criticized Sowore's track record, questioning his effectiveness in organizing protests for security and freedom. Igboho emphasized that his movement is focused on addressing insecurity in Yorubaland, including issues like farmer killings and kidnappings, rather than pursuing political office.

He noted that Sowore's advocacy for a nationwide revolution contrasts with his own grassroots approach to tackling local security challenges. Olayomi Koiki, a media aide to Igboho, supported this defense, highlighting the need for practical solutions to security issues rather than broad ideological campaigns.
