Igboho Praises Kanu for Canceling Sit-at-Home Order

Sundai Igboho, a Yoruba nation activist, commended Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, for his decision to cancel the Monday sit-at-home order across Southeast Nigeria. This order was previously issued while Kanu is currently serving a life imprisonment sentence for terrorism in Sokoto.

Igboho noted that the cancellation aims to reinvigorate socio-economic activities in the region and create an enabling environment for small and medium-scale enterprises to thrive. In a statement released by his counsel, Mr.

Pelumi Olanjengbesi, Igboho described Kanu's decision as timely. He emphasized that self-determination remains a fundamental right and that dialogue is a viable path toward peace and stability.

Igboho also appealed for an end to unrest in the region, urging all parties to focus on peace and development.
