NDC Condemns Delta Assembly's Action Against Egbetanah

The Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) has condemned the Delta State House of Assembly's action declaring the seat of Hon. Collin Egbetanah, representing Udu Constituency, vacant.

The NDC described this action as unconstitutional, vindictive, and a violation of Egbetanah's constitutional rights. The statement issued by the NDC's public secretary, Osa Esq., accused the Delta State government and the House of Assembly of engaging in selective political persecution against Egbetanah, who was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) but later defected to the NDC.

The NDC claims that the assembly's actions are politically motivated, following a series of defections from the APC to the People's Democratic Party (PDP). The NDC has announced plans to take legal action against the assembly's decision and urged them to allow Egbetanah to continue fulfilling his constitutional responsibilities.

The party reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that the people of Udu Constituency enjoy the benefits of democracy through effective representation.
