Igoche Mark Congratulates Olumide Oyedeji on Historic Election as WOA Secretary-General

Igoche Mark extends warm congratulations to Olumide Oyedeji for his historic achievement of being elected as the Secretary-General of the World Olympian Association, becoming the first African to hold this position. Oyedeji, a former basketball player and current NBBF board member representing the South West, secured 55 votes out of 106 valid votes cast, defeating Salvador Salguero from El Salvador and Liston Bochett from Puerto Rico.

Mark expressed pride in Nigeria for Oyedeji's accomplishment, highlighting his dedication, passion, and leadership. Oyedeji will serve on the WOA board for the next four years alongside President Pernilla Wiberg from Sweden and Treasurer Wei Tsu Thoma from Chinese Taipei.
