IGP Olatunji Disu Appoints CSP Anieti Okokon Edem as FPRO

The Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has appointed CSP Anieti Okokon Edem as the new Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) of the Nigeria Police Force. This appointment was announced in a statement, succeeding DCP Anthoni Placid.

CSP Edem, who hails from Etinan Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pure Chemistry from the University of Uyo. He has undergone various professional courses, including those in investigative interviewing, crime scene management, and human rights-based policing strategies.

Prior to this role, he served as the head of the Complaint Response Unit at the Force Headquarters in Abuja and has held various operational and administrative positions across the country, including in Ogun State, Yobe State, and Abia State. The Inspector General expressed confidence in Edem's ability to lead the Force Public Relations Department effectively, leveraging his wealth of experience and expertise to enhance transparency and public confidence in the Nigeria Police Force.
