IGP Disu Strengthens Ties with Nigerian Air Force

On Wednesday, Inspector General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force's commitment to deepening its partnership with the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) during a courtesy visit from Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal S.K. Aneke, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation in addressing evolving security challenges. IGP Disu emphasized the importance of personnel welfare, effective command-and-control, and coordinated security planning, particularly for major national events and the upcoming 2027 general elections.

He also highlighted the need for enhanced protection of critical national infrastructure and improved logistics. The Chief of Air Staff acknowledged the longstanding professional relationship and the support of the NPF Air Wing to the NAF, stressing the necessity for sustained collaboration in joint operations and intelligence sharing.

Key discussion areas included aerial surveillance, tactical deployment, medical evacuation, and improved operational coordination against terrorism, banditry, and other violent crimes. The NAF delegation included several high-ranking officials, underscoring the collaborative effort.
