Police and NDC Collaborate on Reform and Security Issues

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Disu, reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to enhance collaboration with the National Defence College (NDC) and other strategic partners during a courtesy visit by the college's management to the Force Headquarters in Abuja. Ahmed, focused on police reform, state policing, command and coordination protocols, and emerging internal security issues. The commandant informed the IGP that the research paper presented by participants was developed by police officers at the college, with faculty providing only academic guidance.

The findings aim to contribute to the national discourse on police reform and enhance the Nigeria Police Force's capacity to address internal security challenges by 2035. The IGP praised the study for its relevance to Nigeria's security landscape and noted its potential to shape state policing frameworks through comprehensive analysis and practical recommendations.
