IGP Rilwan Strengthens Police-NDC Collaboration

On Wednesday, IGP Olatunji Rilwan of the Nigeria Police Force reiterated the commitment to strengthen collaboration with the National Defence College (NDC) during a meeting in Abuja with the college's Commandant, Rear Admiral A. Ahmed, and other staff.

The partnership aims to enhance effective policing, internal security, and national development. IGP Rilwan emphasized the importance of collaboration among security agencies to tackle ongoing security challenges in Nigeria.

He commended the college's study for its depth and practical relevance, noting it would help shape state policing frameworks through comprehensive analysis and recommendations. Rear Admiral A.

Ahmed stated that the research was conducted by police officers at the college, with faculty providing only guidance. The findings are expected to contribute to police reform discussions and improve the Nigeria Police's capacity to address internal security challenges through 2035.

The meeting also covered topics such as police reform and command protocols.
