IGP Disu Visits Jos, Pledges Justice After Attack

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Tunji Rilwan Disu visited Jos in response to a tragic attack in Angwan Rukuba that claimed 27 lives and left 19 others injured. During his visit, IGP Disu expressed deep sorrow over the incident and reaffirmed the Nigeria Police Force's commitment to restoring peace and stability in the area.

He met with members of the affected community and visited hospitals to comfort the injured. As of the time of his visit, seven suspects had already been arrested in connection with the attack, including individuals impersonating soldiers.

Governor Caleb Muftwang of Plateau State commended the IGP's prompt visit and the police's swift action, describing the attack as painful and unacceptable. He emphasized the importance of security in attracting investment and boosting the economy, and he appealed for additional police personnel to ensure the safety of residents.
