IGP Disu Visits Maiduguri After Recent Explosions

On Wednesday, Inspector General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu visited Maiduguri to express condolences to victims of multiple explosions that occurred on Monday. During his visit, he met with victims receiving treatment at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.

Disu assessed the explosion sites, which were targeted during market hours, to evaluate the situation. He also visited the Borno State Government House and the state police command headquarters to review security arrangements and strengthen coordination among security agencies.

Disu assured the affected families of the police force's unwavering commitment to dismantling the networks responsible for such attacks and preventing future incidents. He emphasized that security measures would be significantly enhanced across Maiduguri, including increased police deployment, heightened surveillance, and robust joint operations aimed at safeguarding lives and property.
