IGP Disu Visits Maiduguri Bomb Blast Victims

On a recent visit to Maiduguri, Inspector General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu assessed the situation following a tragic bomb blast. His visit included sympathizing with victims and their families, as well as evaluating the damage at the Monday market.

Disu visited injured victims receiving treatment at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital and engaged with the Borno State government and the state police command headquarters. The Nigeria Police Force, in a statement, emphasized ongoing efforts to address security challenges in the region, including the dismantling of networks responsible for such attacks.

Disu reassured residents of Maiduguri that security measures would be significantly tightened, with enhanced deployment, increased surveillance, and robust joint operations to prevent further threats.
