Ihezuo Confident Super Falcons Will Qualify for World Cup

Chinwendu Ihezuo, a former junior intern striker, stated her belief that the Super Falcons will qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup during the 14th edition of the Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which will take place in Morocco from July 26 to August 16. Ihezuo acknowledged that this tournament will be tougher than the previous one held in Morocco last year, where there was no World Cup ticket at stake.

She emphasized the importance of hard work and courage for the team, which is the defending champion and cannot afford to be overconfident. Ihezuo, who plays club football for Pachuca Tuzas in Mexico, declared herself fully fit and ready to assist the Super Falcons in clinching their record-extending 11th Women AFCON title.

She expressed gratitude for her recovery and readiness to join the team in Morocco, aiming to make Nigeria proud.
