Ikoyi Club Lauds Zenith Bank for Tennis Tournament Success

Victor Onyenkpa, Chairman of the Tennis Section at Ikoyi Club 1938, commended Zenith Bank for its sponsorship of the recently concluded Team Tennis Tournament. He highlighted the bank's consistent partnership in promoting fitness among club members and the growth of tennis in Nigeria.

Onyenkpa stated that this year's tournament was the best yet, with keen competition and a massive turnout. Team Diaspora Banking triumphed over Team Prestige Banking with an overall score of 11–2, with Remi Amao securing the only victory for Prestige Banking by defeating Ifoghale Gbodume 1–6, 6–3, 10–7.

Looking forward, Onyenkpa expressed optimism for upcoming club competitions, mentioning that there are more events planned for the year and additional sponsors on board. He emphasized the excitement surrounding the successful execution of the Team Event and the intention to improve future tournaments based on learnings from this one.

A total of 64 players participated in the week-long competition, divided into eight teams.
