Yobe APC Candidate Wali Pledges Loyalty to Predecessors

Baba Wali, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate for Yobe State, made a commitment to uphold the legacies of his predecessors, Governor Mai Mala Buni and former Governor Ibrahim Geidam, during a visit to the Emir of Ngazargamu, Alhaji Mustapha Ibn Mahmoud, on Wednesday. Wali stated that his administration, if elected in the 2027 governorship election, would focus on continuity, consolidation, and innovation, ensuring that the achievements of the Buni administration are sustained and further developed.

He expressed his intention to collaborate with traditional institutions and communities to identify development priorities. Wali emphasized the importance of traditional rulers in maintaining peace and stability, especially as political activities ramp up ahead of the elections.

APC State Chairman Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka supported Wali's candidacy, highlighting his experience and the party's recognition of traditional rulers' roles in fostering unity and stability in Yobe State.
