APC Candidate Wali Receives Royal Titles in Yobe

Alhaji Baba Malam Wali, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Yobe State, has been honored with three traditional titles during his consultations with royal fathers across Gudi, Tikau, Pataskum, and Fune emirates. He was conferred the titles of Sarkin Yakin Gudi by the Emir of Gudi, Ajiyan Tikau by the Emir of Tikau, and Zanna Kaloma of Pataskum by the Emir of Pataskum.

His running mate, Barrister Saleh Samanja, received the title of Turakin Tikau. During the visit to Gudi, the Emir noted that the title was previously held by the late former governor Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim, affirming Wali’s worthiness.

The Emir of Tikau urged Wali to prioritize agriculture and education if elected, while the Emir of Pataskum assured support from the emirate. Fune stakeholders also pledged backing for the APC.

Wali expressed gratitude for the royal blessings and reaffirmed his commitment to building on the achievements of Governor Mai Mala Buni and former governor Senator Ibrahim Geidam, under whom he served as Secretary to the Yobe State government. The consultations were conducted on the directive of Governor Buni, with a high-powered delegation including notable party leaders.
